Industrial hemp has been grown and processed worldwide to produce numerous industrial and consumer products. Hemp is grown for its fiber and seed, which is rich in oil. Hemp Farming Act of 2018 legalized industrial hemp that has a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, the psychoactive component of marijuana) concentration of no more than 0.3% by removing it from schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. Many producers, processors and entrepreneurs in Oklahoma are interested in hemp processing and requesting technical information and support.
