(Stillwater, Okla. – Sept. 1, 2016) Oklahoma State University’s Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center is offering a Sanitary Design Workshop on Oct. 25-26, 2016.

The Sanitary Design Workshop is targeted to any food industry professional that works with or needs to learn about the basics of sanitary design in food-processing operations related to equipment, facility, materials of construction, Food Safety Modernization Act and cleaning methods.

“Sanitary design principles are important to ensure that cleaning and sanitizing programs are effective,” said Tim Bowser, FAPC food processing engineer. “It is important for food industry professionals to learn and apply the basics of sanitary design principles in order to understand and meet new inspection requirements.”
